Yoni de Groot (1967)

After graduating in 1991 from the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch in the direction Graphics, I started working with clay. In the past few years I have specialized in the making and painting of objects an tableware in Delft blue.

I get a lot of inspiration from nature, especially flowers, trees and plants. I also enjoy working with poems or other texts.

My work is characterized by the use of lines and / or surfaces. A certain simplicity, with which the subjects are abstracted to their essence.

I also make ink drawings, sometimes combined with watercolour paint.
